Barnwell District } Solomon Huffham In the Name of God AmenI Solomon Huffham of the State and District aforesaid being sick of body and weak but of sound and perfect mind, and memory, do make, ordain this present to be my last Will and Testament in the manner and firm following, and first I do by this present disannull, revoke, and make void all other former Wills, and testaments by me writer, signed and made.
2ly. I do will, ordain that my under named Executor shall collect all the Debts and money justly due to me, and that all my just debts shall be by him my said Executor paid and any money remaining after the payment made of all my just debts the remaining if sufficient that shall be employed by said Executor in purchasing a Negro girl, which shall be for the said Juflas (John) Huffham my son use during his life time but the property of her and her issue shall desolve after his Syllas Huffham death to my grand son Solomon Huffham junr. the son of Juflas Huffham.
3dly I give and bequeth, will and ordain that my said grand son, Solomon Huffham junr the son of said Syllas shall have to him and his heirs the Negro man named Cain about thirty five years old. The Negro Woman Sue about twenty years old, the Negro girl Kate about seven year old and the Negro girl Sue about two year old, as also I confirm to him the Negro girl Rachel already given him by a deed of gift dated the ninth April one thousand eight hundred and two; I give and bequeth to my said grand son a bed and the whole of my house hold furniture, one gray colour Mare with her colt, and one cream horse about ten year old a cun cow with its yearling marked with two smooth crops and two slits in each ear as also I by there presents confirm unto my said grand son the Stock of Cattle and Hogs marked with a crop, and two slits and an underbit in one ear and a single swallow fork in the other ear given by the abovementioned deed of gift, also I give and bequeth unto my said grandson the remaining part of the stock of Hogs not included as by this will be quethed.
4thly. I give and bequeth unto my grand Children the children of my son John Huffham all my stock of Horned Cattle except one Cow and calf already willed, and bequethed in this will and twenty five head of Hogs, pigs excepted and not to be accounted as Hogs, the above cattle and hogs to be equally shared and divided among the said children of my said son Jehu Huffham.
5ly. I give and bequeth to my grand daughter Marianne Hufham one horse called Gamaker over and above her equal share with her brothers and sisters.
6ly. Every and singular the articles given and bequethed to my said grand son Solomon the son of my son Sillas I do will order and bequeth the use and service of them to be for and for the use of my said son Sillas Huffham and his wife Sally Huffham for and during their natural life time, then the whole property to be invested as above mentioned in the presence of my said grand son Solomon.
7ly. And lastly I do hereby name Constitute and appoint my well beloved son Sillas Huffham my sole Administrator and Executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness wherof I have hereunto set my hand and seal publickly and before this signed Witness declared to be my last will and testament this Twentyeth Day of November one thousand eight-hundred and four.

In the name of God Amen.
I, Solomon Hufham of the County of Bladen being of sound mind and memory blessed by God do this 26th day of July one thousand eight hundred and ten do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows.First. I give and bequeath to my loving sister Ann Hufham one heifer called Stately and one hundred and forty acres of land willed to me by my father and whereon we now live to her and her hers forever.
And I also give and bequeath to my loving sister Francis Hufham one cow called Ribonde and her calf to her and hers forever.
I also give and bequeath the remainder of my property to my mother and at her decease my will is that it be divided between my two sisters Ann and Francis to them and their heirs forever.
I hereby make and ordain my sister Ann Hufham sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament.
In witness whereof I the said Solomon Hufham have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal this day and date above.

Last Will and Testament
In the name of God Amen.
I Hudnal Hufman of the state of North Carolina in the County of Bladen being very weak in body but perfect in mind and memory and understanding doth constitute this my last Will and Testament and as touching my Worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life. I give, devise, and dispose of it in the following manner and form.First. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Martha Hufman my whole estate Real and Personal during her widowhood and desire that my children may be schooled out of my estate and after my wifes death or the decease of her widowhood I give my whole possessions of land to be equally divided between my two sons James and Solomon.
I also give my negro by Toming to my son James on condition that he pays my son Solomon one half of the value of the said negro.
I likewise give my son Solomon my negro winch called Cate.
I also give my daughter Mary one feather bed and large chest and after my wifes death or decease of her widowhood I give the remainder part of my estate to be equally divided among my five youngest children.
And I appoint and constitute my beloved wife Martha Hufman and my son James Hufman as Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament.
I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of March 1790.

Probable father is William Huffum, listed in 1800 New Hanover County census in Caintuck area with James Malpass, Simon Malpass, John Malpass, Israel Burdeaux, and Francis Pridgeon. William was of 26 and less than 45 years old. He had one female between 10 and 16 living at his residence, and one female of 16 and under 26.

Confined at Harts Island, New York Harbor, where he died May 1, 1865 of typhoid fever. Rank: Private.
