Obituary: CANTON _ Vivian L. Smith, 69, of Beechwood Health Care Center, Pekin, formerly of 821 E. Olive, Canton, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, July 21, 1991, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Oct. 4, 1921, in Summum to Arch and Maude Huff Hughes, she married Max M. Smith on June 6, 1942, in Louisiana, Mo. He died Aug. 5, 1983, in Canton. She also was preceded in death by one brother and two infant sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Marilyn K.) Smiser of Pekin and Mrs. William (Nancy J.) Mason of Colchester; one sister, Mrs. Cecil (Frances) Hougham of Peoria; four grandchildren; and one stepgrandchild.
She was a member of Summum Christian Church in Summum.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oaks Memorial Chapel in Canton, the Rev. Robert J. Samuel officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the memorial chapel. Burial will be at Summum Cemetery in Summum.


Robert Earl Winebrenner

Robert E. Winebrenner
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Robert E. Winebrenner, age 69, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones on January 4, 1994, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born July 1, 1924, in South Bend, Indiana, to Earl and Cora Ellen Stevens Winebrenner. Married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and all eternity to Maude Stephens Hufham, March 2, 1977. Robert was a manager for Walk Over Shoes and later employed by Florsheim Shoes.
Our father and grandfather was the patriarch of our family. He taught us the pure love of Christ by the example he set. His tender care and compassion for his family, friends, and even strangers touched us all. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and he willingly served our Father in Heaven in many callings throughout his life. He especially enjoyed his calling as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple.
Grandfather always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Grandfather, our memories of you we will cherish in our hearts. We love you, and may God be with us all until we meet again.
Survived by his loving wife; children, Larry (Kay) Winebrenner, Gerry (Catalina) Winebrenner, Jerry Winebrenner, Kris (Dan) Warmoth, Judy Ditch, Wynelle (Pete) Weston, Cheryl (Tommy) Addis, Gayle (John) Douros, and Nancy Hufham Batchelor; brother, Ronnie (Karen) Winebrenner; sister, Jeanie (Richard) Boyer; 30 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter, Kristy Batchelor.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 8th, 12 Noon, Capital Hill 1st Ward, 24 West 400 North. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Fri., 6:30-8:30 p.m., and Sat. at the Ward, one hour prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 So. Maurice Laverne Hufham

Maurice Lavern Huffam was born 03 Apr 1918 in Delco, Hanover County, North Carolina. He died 23 Dec 1966 in Durham, Durham County, North Carolina. Maurice was baptized 08 Jan 1968 in the Salt Lake temple. He was endowed 15 Feb 1968 in the Salt Lake temple. Maurice married Maude Hufham Stephens on 28 May 1940 in Marion, Marion County, North Carolina. The marriage ended in divorce.
