In Deity Name Amen. The xx day of April 1518 in the year of our lord God. I John Hougham of the parish of xxxx in the parish of xxx in the Isle of Thanet being whole of mind and in good remembrance thank be God, make this testament to beginning my last will in manner and form following. First I bequeath my soul to God Almighty, our lady and all the blessed company of heavenly Angels and body to be buried in the churchyard of our lady of xxx aforesaid.

Item. I bequeath to the light xxxx there for tithes and offerings neglectantly forgotten.

Item. I will that Alice my wife have my parcel of lands lying in xxx aforesaid during the term of her life and lawful xxxxx and after her decease I will the same parcel of land remain to Johane and Catherine my daughters,equally between them to be divided and if any of them die in meantime then I will that the other xxx half that xxxxx and that both my daughters die without heirs of their body lawfully begotten then I will that the same parcel of land be sold by my feofee and the money therof remaining I will half xxxx in and about the Radeloft in the xxxx Anne xxx and the lady of the same xxx.

Item I will that my executors do or have to be done xxxx masses at my burying xxxx at my months mind other masses and at my xxxx months mind other my masses.

Item I will that John xxx and William Rolfe my feofee make seal and deliver to xxxx a deed and estate of my tenement and home and my acres of land lying next the same tenement xxx feexxx. The residue of my goods before not bequeathed my debts and bequeaths above said paid I give and bequeath unto the said Alice my wife and Edmund Lyne whom I do make and ordain of this my last present testament xxxxx that them decease and order them to the hand of God and Salvation of my soul.
